ABOUT ME

I am a psychodynamic counsellor offering a reflective, collaborative space where you can begin to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I work with both short- and longer-term therapy, either in person or online, and aim to create an environment where you feel safe enough to speak freely, at your own pace.

My approach is grounded in curiosity about how past experiences, relationships, and patterns may be shaping your present. Together, we can explore what might be happening beneath the surface — including recurring difficulties in relationships, anxiety, low mood, or a general sense of feeling stuck. Therapy isn’t about quick fixes, but about developing a deeper understanding of yourself that can lead to meaningful and lasting change.

Alongside my private work, I am currently a Student Counsellor within a university setting, where I support a diverse range of clients and present my work in clinical supervision. I have experience working both in-person and online, and I have trained across a range of settings including higher education and voluntary counselling services. My practice is informed by ongoing professional development, including training in cultural competence, LGBTQ+ awareness, and trauma-informed work.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in education for many years as a teacher and tutor. This background continues to shape my practice, particularly in how I think about communication, learning, and the importance of feeling understood. I aim to offer a space that feels both thoughtful and grounded, where difficult experiences can be explored with care and attention.
